About the event
The EYAAL IINMENIAN FESTIVAL is a Cultural Tourism concept created Mr. Messiah Fyneface Muzan for COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE (CODEPAIN) and NGO he founded.
EYAAL IINMENIAN FESTIVAL is a traditional fashion, Agro and local cuisine festival of the Abua/Odual people of Rivers state, Nigeria.
It holds from the second Wednesday of Novermber to Saturday every year.
It features, traditional displays such as dancing, singing, masquerade displays wrestling, folktales, local dish cooking contest, traditional procession, reading and spelling in Abua/Odual languages, Agro/Bicycle procession, skills training/competition among others with winners going home with mouthwatering prizes in the form of cash and equipment that will enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
The festival is also a tool for supporting young men and women including widows in the L.G.A with seed money to start up businesses.
On a yearly basis, the founder sets up a festival planning committee with who plan to ensure a robust festival is achieved.
The festival have enjoyed sponsorship from Multinational such as MTN and CocaCola among others.
